Management Team

Mr. Wollmann is responsible for the overall management of Essent Re, including oversight of the underwriting function of the company pursuant to the established underwriting guidelines. Prior to joining Essent Re in 2009, he was a Managing Director, Structured & Asset-Backed Finance for RAM Holdings Ltd. In addition to his reinsurance background in Bermuda, Mr. Wollmann has extensive experience in the structured finance area. He was previously employed as a Managing Director at RCS Limited and Ritchie Capital Management (Bermuda) Limited, both alternative asset managing firms. He was also with ACE Capital Re International Ltd. (now known as Assured Guaranty re) where he last served as a Senior Vice President. Mr. Wollmann holds an MBA from The School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science, St. John's University, New York, and holds the following insurance designations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Reinsurance and Associate in Risk Management.

Conor Gaffney has served as Senior Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer of Essent Re since January 2026. He has over 20 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry. Prior to joining Essent, Mr. Gaffney served as Global Product Leader for Specialty at AXA XL Re, overseeing the strategic direction of a market leading global Specialty reinsurance portfolio. He also held a senior underwriting management position with Greenlight Re, where he served as Head of Reinsurance Underwriting for Europe. Mr. Gaffney holds an honours degree in Actuarial and Financial Studies from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK).

Mr. Gormley is the Company's Senior Vice President of Risk Management, with responsibility and oversight over the assessment and surveillance of the Risk Management function. Prior to joining Essent Re in 2015, he held several positions at Assured Guaranty between Bermuda and London where he last served as Director, Structured Finance. In addition to his reinsurance background in Bermuda, he has extensive experience in consumer lending and structured finance. Mr. Gormley was also employed by Barclays Bank in various roles within their consumer lending, treasury and then portfolio management area, last serving as an Assistant Director. Mr. Gormley obtained a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot-Watt University.

Joti Sandher oversees risk analytics, reserves and forecasting within the Risk Management function at Essent Re, where he also acts as Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Essent Re in 2019, Mr. Sandher was an independent contractor for a number of UK Life Insurance companies, specializing in Risk Management and Asset Liability Management (ALM). He has also previously held roles in the structured finance industry with GMAC-RFC and ABN Amro. Mr. Sandher holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Imperial College London, a M.Sc. in Industrial Applied Mathematics from the University of Southampton and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Mr. McCallum is responsible for the oversight of the finance function and accounting control. Prior to joining Essent in 2025, he was employed by Allianz Risk Transfer (Bermuda) as Head of Finance. Mr. McCallum has broad experience in leading all regulatory and US GAAP reporting, chairing the BSCR committee, and managing external audits and capital strategy. With prior CFO roles across P&C and life insurers, he brings deep expertise in structured reinsurance, regulatory compliance, and financial operations. He has led cross-functional teams, offshore finance functions, and complex reporting frameworks. He holds a Chartered Accountant designation under FCA in England and Wales as well as a Chartered Banker (MCIBS) designation. Mr. McCallum holds an Honorary Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.

Aditya Dutt is Partner and President of Aeolus Capital Management Ltd., a Bermuda-based reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused investment fund manager. Mr. Dutt previously held various roles with Renaissance Re Ltd., a Bermuda-based reinsurance company, from 2008 to July 2020, including most recently serving as the senior vice president of Renaissance Re Holdings Ltd., president of Renaissance Re Underwriting Managers, Ltd. and a member of Renaissance Re's executive committee.

Mr. Dutt's responsibilities with Renaissance Re included managing reinsurance joint ventures and portfolio of strategic investments, and leading the company's corporate development and M&A efforts. Prior to joining Renaissance Re, Mr. Dutt served as executive director in Morgan Stanley's investment banking division in New York and Hong Kong, responsible for executing strategic transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital-raising for the insurance and reinsurance industry. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Dutt worked at Salomon Brothers in the corporate finance and fixed income departments in Hong Kong. Mr. Dutt holds a BA in mathematics from Dartmouth College.

Mark A. Casale is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Essent Group Ltd. (NYSE: ESNT). Mr. Casale has more than 25 years of financial services experience, which includes senior roles in mortgage banking, mortgage insurance, bond insurance and capital markets. Mr. Casale founded Essent Group Ltd. (EGL) in 2008 with $500 million of equity funding. EGL has since grown to a market capitalization of approximately $5 billion and manages more than $200B of insurance in force. Under Mr. Casale's leadership, Essent has become a leading mortgage insurer and reinsurer serving as a trusted and strong counterparty to lenders and GSEs and has enabled over two million borrowers to become homeowners. Mr. Casale continues to evolve the franchise using risk-based pricing and AI-driven analytics to support his core mission of prudently growing shareholder value and promoting affordable and sustainable homeownership. A native of the Philadelphia region, Mr. Casale holds a BS in accounting from St. Joseph's University and an MBA in finance from New York University.

William Spiegel currently serves as the chief executive officer and a board member of Accredited Insurance Holdings Inc., a specialty insurance business focused on the rapidly growing MGA market. Accredited was acquired by affiliates of Onex Partners in June 2024. Prior to his role at Accredited, Mr. Spiegel held several roles with R&Q Insurance Holdings Ltd. since January 2020, including most recently serving as its chief executive officer. Mr. Spiegel has over 30 years of private equity investment experience. Mr. Spiegel was co-president and a founding partner of Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC, an investment firm from 2006 to January 2020, where he was responsible for managing Pine Brook’s financial services investing activities and also served as a member of Pine Brook’s investment committee. Prior to joining Pine Brook, Mr. Spiegel was with The Cypress Group from its inception in 1994 until 2006. Prior to joining The Cypress Group, Mr. Spiegel worked in the Merchant Banking Group at Lehman Brothers. He has served on the board of directors of numerous companies, including eight publicly traded entities. Mr. Spiegel is currently a member of The University of Chicago Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Advisory Board and the Private Equity Counsel. Mr. Spiegel holds a BSc in economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science, an MA in economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
